Step 1. Warming up (课前热身)
1. Greetings.
2. Free talk.
T: Do you remember these words? Ss: Yes, I do. /No, I don’t.
T: Can you say these sentences? Ss: Yes, I do. /No, I don’t.
复习已经学过的单词和句型。
Step 2. Presentation (新知导入)
1. Play the video of "school things" on the screen. Let the students watch it. After that, ask them to answer some questions.
T: What is it about?
Ss: About school things.
Show a school bag to all the students.
T: What is it?
Ss: It is a school bag.
T: Can you guess what’s in my schoolbag?
Ss: Yes. Pencil/ruler/paper/picture/map/crayons…
2. After guessing, show the school things in the school bag and then teach the word one by one.
3. Read the words in groups.
4. Read the words together.
5. Play a game: Missing game
6. Encourage the students to tell more about the school things in their group.
Step 3: Target
1. Listen to the tape and read after it.
2. Find out what does Tony/Jenny have.
3. Ss read the target together.
