二、教学目标

By the end of the class, students will be able to:

1. understand the use of Possessive Pronouns and Possessive Nouns by practicing a lot.

2. master the sentence of “whose”through practicing speaking a lot of sentences.

3.make conversations to identify the owners of things guided by the teacher.

三、教学过程

Step 1 Warming and preparing

1. Warm up by a chant.

2. Prepare for listening. Present the Possessive Pronouns and Possessive Nouns by talking about the owners of the things on the PPT and the things of the students in the classroom. Learn the new words of the lesson by showing pictures of things like bike, banana and so on and learn them in the dialog.

Step 2 Listening and understanding

1. Complete the sentences of 2 with the Possessive Nouns, and then read after the recording.

2. Watch the flash of 1a, read after it and then help the Ss understand the conversations of 1a.

Step 3 Reading and reciting

Ask the Ss to read the conversations of 1a and try to recite them. And then act them out.

Step 4 Practicing and sharing

Ask the Ss to make conversations to find the owners of things:

A: Hi, ××! Is this your…?

B: No, it’s not ….

A: Whose…is it, then?

B: It’s…

A: Hi, ××! Is this…yours?

C: Oh,yes. It’s…. Thanks, ××.

A: ….

Step 5 Summary and self-check

Ask students to sum up and evaluate his or her learning by the check list.

Step 6 Assignment

1. Recite and write down the conversations of 1a.

2. Finish Section A on the WB.

3. Preview Section B.

4. Write the conversations they made in class on the exercise books.
