Ask some Ss to tell about the information and read out the corresponding sentences in the passage.
-Have Ss read the email by themselves and get more information about Mary. (跳读,寻找自己需要的信息)
Judge some sentences about the passage.
Ask volunteers to judge the sentences and tell the correct sentences.
-Have Ss read the passage again and find the answers of the 5 questions in Exercise 2 on page 78. Give an example first and make sure that Ss know they should find the corresponding sentences in the passage and underline them. (有目的地细读,完成任务。)
Ask some Ss to give the answers and the sentences, then give the correct ones.
At the same time, explain some difficulties.
-Have Ss read the passage together. (朗读,适当指导。)
Have them repeat the difficult sentences or words after the T.
-Have Ss look at the blackboard and try to introduce Mary with the key words on the Bb. Give some help to Ss when necessary.(根据板书的关键词,回顾email内容, 同时为练习3的三单铺垫。)
-Have Ss finish the exercise 3 on page 79.
Ask volunteers to read out the complete sentences one by one, then give the correct ones. (通过练习检查学生对email的理解及掌握情况。)

Step 4. Post-reading
-Have Ss read the talking between my new Wechat friend and me.
Ask some volunteers to tell the information about my friend Lucy, from the key words to the whole sentences. (思维导图,示范)
-Have Ss write about their friends, use the key words, then the sentences.
Encourage them to write more other things, such as: color, food, subject, and so on. (发散学生思维。)
-After writing, have Ss read out their sentences in groups.(小组内互读,发现并纠正错误。)
-Share some writing with the class.
-Enjoy some proverbs about friend.
