本校五年级学生生活在农村这样信息不是很畅通的环境,他们接触外面大世界的机会很少,而且有一半的学生是农村留守儿童,他们渴望新知识,对英语表现出极大的兴趣,但相关的英语课外读物几乎没有,因此我把这节课的重点放在使全体学生会读单词、会读句子和理解句子这样的基础上,为更好的学习下一节打好坚实的基础。
三、教学内容分析:
这是广东人民出版社的英语教材,五年级下册Unit 5 My Favorite Activities,这单元的主要内容是与朋友谈论和表达自己的最喜爱活动,能够表达做这个活动的次数,以及平时进行如何开展这个活动。把Story这个模块设计在这一单元的第一课时,目的是让学生们对这一课主要学习内容有大概的了解,在故事情境中先学习一些单词和学习主要的句子,会更好地掌握这一单元的主要内容,也能为第二课时单词与句子的学习更好地铺垫,也能减轻第二课时的学习负担。

Ⅰ. warming up
1. Greeting and introduce myself
2. Let Ss talk about themselves
T: Hello! What’s your name? What do you like?
S1: Hello! My name is… I like…
Ⅱ.Activity 1: Play cartoon twice.
T: Let’s look at the pictures. It’s after dinner. Gogo and Jenny are at home. They are talking. What are they talking about? Let’s watch the cartoon.
Ⅲ. Activity 2: Read the new words and the sentences.
1. T: What’s Jenny reading? (show the picture “go hiking”)
T: Let’s read. Hiking, hi-king, hiking
2. Talk about what hiking is.
3. Have Ss read “about” and the sentence “I’m reading about hiking.”
4. Continue with other words and sentences.
