Ⅰ.Pre-reading

Task: Ss watch a short video and answer “what are they doing?”

Lead in the title “Keeping Fit”.

T: First of all. I want to share a short video with you. Please watch and answer“what are they doing?”(让学生观看做运动的视频)

[设计意图: 阅读课相对是比较枯燥的,所以一开始,动感的视频加上节奏感强的音乐,一开始就吸引了学生的注意力,激发学生学习的兴趣和热情,积极投入学习,并自然引出本课学习的主题。开放式的问题,激起头脑风暴,充分调动学生已有的知识,也很好地利用了未读先思法,使学生保持浓厚的兴趣。]

T: Today we are going to learn about keeping fit. Let’s begin. Frist, I’d like to introduce two friends to you. Now, Let’s enjoy the chant, and answer the question: Who plays basketball well?(让学生观看chant,也可以跟着一起唱)

Ss: Yao Ming plays basketball well.

T: Yes. Yao Ming plays basketball well. He is healthy and strong. Now, Let’s see who is the other friend? Oh, She is Deng Yaping. She is a famous ping-pong player. She works hard and does a lot of training.
