Step1: Warming up
Let’s chant.
教师出示单词卡片go/went, eat/ate, write/wrote, read/read, make/made, ride/rode, sing/sang, drink/drank。伴随着chant的节奏,不断替换词组,将本单元新学的词组逐一呈现。师生齐唱新编童谣:What did you do?
(设计意图:利用活泼生动的歌谣形式复习单词和句型,激发学生的学习热情。)

教师出示一张自己在做模型的半遮的照片给学生看,引导学生提问。
教师:Last Sunday, I didn’t go to the park. I was at home. I was very busy but I was happy. Can you guess what I did?
生:Did you... last Sunday?
教师:Yes, I made a model. That’s a beautiful school bus.
(设计意图:照片上的信息差,调动学生积极思考,对话交际得要巩固和提高。)
Step2: Presentation
Lead-in
利用音频效果,车喇叭发出鸣响,一辆校车缓缓驶入,它是一辆具有魔力的“神奇校车”,能带领同学们穿越时空,认识世界。
师:Wow! A magic bus! Please listen carefully.
播放一段“神奇校车”的说话录音。
录音内容为:Hello, everyone! My name is Bob. I’m a magic bus. I can swim, I can fly, and I can go everywhere. Today, I want to see the desert. Do you want to go with me? Please get on the bus. Let’s go!
师:Today is a magic day. We are going to take the magic bus and see the desert. Are you ready? Let’s go!
(设计意图:此环节起到承上启下的作用。创设情境,从校车模型到“神奇校车”的变身,将带领学生们开启一天的神奇之旅,突出主题“A Magic Day”,让学生们体会到“magic”的威力,充满童话色彩。)
教师引领学生进入童话般的世界,全班闭上眼睛,齐声念到:Magic Bus! Magic Bus! Go! Go! Go! 瞬间,课件呈现有关撒哈拉沙漠的景观视频,学生们犹如身临其境,大开眼界。
