Ss can use the patterns “What are your hobbies? I like…”in the real situation and get ready for describing their pen pals.

This course is designed for grade six students. Students at this age are interested in interesting things and are fond of sharing their hobbies with others. Meanwhile they have the awareness of making friends based on the full understanding on others’ interests and hobbies.

1. Greeting and dividing into four groups: Reading Club/Dancing Club/Singing Club/Kung fu Club.

Ss: We like singing.

T: Can you sing the Chinese song“Jasmine Flowers”?

Ss: Yes.(全组齐唱)

设计意图:把全班分成四个俱乐部,并利用句型“What’s your hobby?”询问各组的爱好并让他们用动作表达出来,有些同学的动作比较诙谐,同学们在愉悦的氛围中习得语言。

2. Game: Shark eyes

设计意图:通过游戏的方式复习表达爱好的单词和句型,既激发学生的学习热情,浓化学习的氛围,也为后面描述笔友做好准备。
