Presentation and Drill

1.T:Ask the question “How many organ words have we learnt?” to lead in Unit 6 and teach “Follow me”

2. T: Play a “ Follow Game”: Stand up or Sit down to make Ss understand the words “up” and “down”

3. T (puts up one hand): Follow me, hand up hand down. And teach the new word “hand”.

※T plays a game with students to distinguish the pronunciation between the “hand” and the “head”.(Rules: When T says “hand”, the Ss clap the hands twice. When T says “head”, the Ss touch their heads.)

4. T (puts up two hands): Follow me, hands up hands down. And teach the new sentence.

※Explain “hand” and “hands”.

5. Teach the words “foot” “arm” “leg” and the sentence “Leg up leg down” in the similar way.

6.T: The arm, the hand , the leg and the foot can make a body. And teach” body”.

7.Chant the words with the action together:hand hand 是小手,hand hand pia pia pia. Foot foot 是脚丫,foot foot dong dong dong. Arm arm 是胳膊,arm arm hi hi hi. Leg leg 大腿,leg leg sou sou sou. Body body 是身体,body body up and down.

Practice and Consolidation

1. T: (shows the pictures of Part1)Now Miss lin is playing a” follow me” game with her students. Open your books read the dialogue and answer the question: What do they follow?

2. Listen to the tape and follow.

3. Practice the dialogue in pairs and act the dialogue.

4. T Plays the “Follow Game” with several students for an example then ask them to play themselves.

Eg : T: Hello, ××× .

S: Hello, Miss Xu.

T: Let’s play a game, OK?

S: OK.

T: Follow me! Arms up arms down!

S: Arm ups arms down.
