1、巧妙导入

T: Boys and girls. I want to introduce myself in a chant. Listen carefully.

Ss: OK.

T:Today I will introduce a friend. His name is Mr.Qiang. He’s from the UK. He is short and thin.

Teacher uses the pattern :Is she tall? Yes, she is. to ask the questions according to chant and then introduce the subject of this lesson “Friends.”

2.引出主题。

1. Teachers create situations:Today I will introduce a friend. His name is Mr.Qiang. He’s from the UK. He is short and thin.Teacher use the whiteboard to show the picture of the Mr.Qiang,and ask questions :Is she thin?Yes,she is.Introduce the new word: thin.Emphasize the Pronunciation of th。

3. 解决难点

1.The teacher asks:Mr Qiang has a friend. She is very thin. Where is she from? Listen to the tape.

Then students answer:She is from the UK.

2. The teacher used the white board to produce a picture of areas,and the students make some sentences according to the blackboard.

3.The teacher show a picture of the Helen,and introduce the new word beautiful。

4. The teacher show a picture of the Helen and Mr Qiang, contrast to introduce the new words “old and young”.
