1、Let’s listen to the music“how old are you”（播放视频）
T: 教师问学生how old are you? S: I’m 10
T: 教师做出老人驼背咳嗽的样子说：oh, you are 10, you are young. I’m 70. I’m old now.
引出单词young、old。 出示课件图片young 和old.师带领学生反复读、指名读，进而引导学生说he is young.进而引出Is he young? Yes , he is.指导学生书写单词。
2、出示课件图片引出单词clever, 板书clever
3、出示课件小女孩图片，T：look, she is a beautiful girl. She is thin.配合相应的动作使学生理解. 引出单词beautiful和thin. 师领读生跟读，师指名读。随即提问Is she beautiful ? 引导学生回答Yes , she is. 引出句子Is she tall? Yes, she is . 板书句子。指导书写句子。
4、同桌之间反复练习句子。
5、游戏。Who’s my friend?
6、Now open your book to page 17.Look,I have a new friend. Her name is Helen.反复重复句子She is from the UK.指着女孩说：Is she tall ?学生一起回答Yes, she is. 师生齐说She is beautiful and thin.
7、生自由读，师指名读，分角色读。
