Step1. Warming up & Lead in
1.Have a chant about months.
2.Show learning aims to students, and introduce the rules of competition.
设计意图:通过明确教学目的,学生能明确本节课要完成的任务。Chant环节让学生回顾下日期的表达,为后面的report妈妈生日做准备。
Step 2 Preparing
1.Share the survey.
2.Talk about mom’s birthday and favorite presents.
Question 1:When was your mother born?
Question 2:What's her favorite present?
Question 3:How do you plan to celebrate mom’s birthday?
设计意图: 通过课前调查妈妈的生日和最喜欢的礼物,到分享并报告,过渡到如何为母亲庆祝生日,为后面的文本阅读和写作做铺垫。
Step 3 Reading
1.Before reading:
Guess: How do they plan to celebrate Mrs.Brown’s birthday ?
2.While-reading:
(1) Listen and check:
When was Mrs. Brown's born? (When)
Where will they celebrate the birthday? (Where)
How will they celebrate the birthday? (How)
(2) Read again and tell their birthday plan to the class:
Activity 1:Dub(配音) as quickly as you can.
Activity 2:report their plan to the class according to the words and pictures.
3.Post-reading:
(1)Think about the structure of their plan.
Activity 3: A student come to the blackboard and match the above sentences to the beginning,body and ending parts.
Conclusion:Structure is important.It makes the plan clear.
