5. Teaching Procedures:
1) Warming-up& Lead-in:
Greet students. Enjoy a song “What’s your favorite season?” to do a warming up and use the question to review the words about seasons.
Talk about myself by answering “I like____. I want to _____.” to lead in “plant peanuts”.
2) Presentation:
T: I have some peanuts. It’s spring. I want to plant peanuts. It’s summer, I want to water the peanuts. It’s autumn, I want to pick the peanuts. It’s winter, I want to eat the peanuts. (During the procedure of planting peanuts, use phonics and TPR method to teach the new words.)
To introduce my friends: Cock and Monkey. They have some peanuts too. What do they want to do? ( Watch the video and answer the question)
Check the answers by listening, observing the pictures and analyzing the texts.( Use different ways to deal with the pictures and texts.) Listen and repeat.
4. Thinking: Can monkey eat the peanuts? Why?
To present the theme of the story: No pain, no gain.
3) Production:
Retell the story.
First, teacher leads the students to retell the story according to the information on the blackboard.
Then let them retell the story in groups.
Role-play the story.
First, watch a micro class video to see how to role-play.
Role-play the story with your partner.
Conclusion:
What do you learn from the story? Teacher leads the students to do a summary about what they learnt from the story, and ask them try to remember “No pain, no gain”.

Share the story with your parents and friends.
