Step 1 Warm-up

1. Let’s chant.

A is for cake. /ei/ /ei/ /ei/ cake; A is for make. /ei/ /ei/ /ei/ make.

2. Find the rule

元音字母Aa在重读开音节a_e中的发音为 /ei/。

Step 2 Presentation

1.Sing a song.

2.Find the word “like”.

3.Make sentences with“like”.

4.Make a new situation with the words.

5.Practice the above dialogue.

6.Try to read these words with i_e, and then find the rule of the pronunciation.

Step 3 Practice and production

1. look and say

2.Read the word cards to find the right house for them.

3.Listen and circle.

4.Listen, write and say.

5.Listen and repeat.

Step 4 Summary

1.Read the word card, then you can get a word baby.

2.Sum up the rules of the pronunciations a_e and i_e, then think about the rules of the pronunciations o_e and u_e
