VI. Teaching procedure
Step1. Warming-up
Greeting
(Intention: it can shorten the distance between teacher and students,)
Step2. Pre-reading
sing a song and ask questions
e.g.
How many rabbits can you see?
Who are they?
What do they like to do ?
(Intention: the song can create a relax atmosphere for students and arouse students’ interests, at the same time, the lyrics and the questions can lay the foundation of this lesson.)
Step3. While-reading
Teacher gives a picture of Bunny’s mom and teaches dig, teacher draws a picture of dig and does the action. Then teacher asks Ss ‘Do you like to dig?’ and helps Ss to answer ‘Yes, I like to dig.’
T: What’s Bunny’s mom going to do?
Ss: Plant carrots…
T: Do you like to eat carrots?
Ss: I like to eat carrots.
T: I like to eat cookies, who bakes it for me?
Teacher guides Ss to learn new word bake and eat cookies. Then teacher asks one student to be Bunny and introduces its dad.
