Step 2. Revision
Review some words about animals we have learnt before like this:
T: What animals do you like? Why?
S: I like… because they are…
T:Can you do the actions or imitate the sound.
S: Yes.
Step 3. Presentation
1. T says “I’m going to the zoo. I want to see tigers.
They’re strong.” Ask Ss “Where are you going?
What animals do you want to see?” Then let Ss answer.
2. Write words “elephant, panda” on the Bb.
3.Look at the picture and do the dialogue like this:
T: We’re going to the farm. What animals do you want to see? Why?
S1:I want to see…They’re…
4. Write words “pig, cow, sheep, bee, horse” on the Bb and read.
5. T says “A horse can run fast. Liu Xiang can run fast.” Then ask Ss “Who can run fast in your class?”
6. Play a game: Let one S come to the front and do the actions and the other Ss guess “What animals is it?”
7. Listen to the tape and number.
Step 4. Practice
Ask one S “We are going to the farm. What animals do you want to see? Why?” Then let this S answer “ I want to see…They’re…”
Write sentences “What animals do you want to see? Why? I want to see…They’re…”on the Bb.
Listen to the tape and read in pairs.
Work in pairs.
Let three Ss do the dialogue with T like this:
T: What animals do you want to see? Why?
S1: I want to see…They’re…
