1. 热身活动
教师出示日历,或在黑板上写出一些特定的日期,引出某个假期或某个节日,然后出示自己之前旅游的一些照片,向学生介绍。介绍时语速可稍微放慢一些,尽量与学生互动,问一问学生是否也去过这些地方,在这些地方做了些什么事情等等,如:
T: Today we’re going to start Unit 5, and then we’ll start Revision 2,and then we’ll have the final exam, and then... we’ll...
Ss: ...
T: Yes! We’ll have our summer vacation. So what do you think of the summer vacation?
Ss: ...
T: Do you like your summer vacation? Why?
Ss: ...
T: I like the summer vacation because I can have a rest for a long time,and I always have interesting vacations. Last summer vacation I went to ... It was exciting.(教师 旅游的照片)Who has been there before? How did you go there? What did you do there? What about the others? How was your last summer vacation and what did you do?
Ss: ...
2. 呈现新的学习内容
(1) 教师引导学生关注Get Ready图,教师说:Bill and Lily are talking about their last summer vacation. Please read these words and look at these pictures in pairs. 然后让学生结对,观察图片,试读词句。
(2) 教师带领学生环游图片。教师语言如下:How was Lily,s vacation? Where did she go? What places did she visit? What did she do there? She went to the Stone Forest. (教师呈现真实的石林照片,让学生欣赏)教师接着说:Oh, yes. She took some photos there. I like taking photos, too. I always take photos when travelling. What about you? Yes, she bought some gifts there. Do you often buy gifts when travelling? My son always buys toys when travelling. (教师在这里是帮助学生理解bought的含义)She also saw beautiful flowers. What about Bill? Yes, he went to a beach. He ate ice-cream, drank cold drinks and swam in the sea. We shouldn’t often drink cold drinks, because they’re not good for our health.
(3) 完成听力任务,整体感知学习内容。教师播放录音,学生边听边选择答案;教师再次播放录音,让学生自查答案;教师第三次播放录音,让学生边听边全班一起核对答案。学生核对答案时,教师将图片贴在黑板上,并在图片旁填词组句,完成板书。
3 .词汇学习和操练
(1) 学习词汇。教师带领全班学生朗读一遍词汇。
(2) 学生结对,进行造句游戏。每人手里各拿一套词卡,然后相互抽取,每次抽一张,抽到哪张就用那张上面的词语造句,如若抽到ate ice-cream,可以造句:I ate ice-cream yesterday. Mary ate ice-cream last Monday. 活动中如果有不会的地方,两人可以相互讨论,然后将相应的词卡放回去,以备再次抽取。
Tip: 教师可以在此活动前请一名语言能力较好的学生与自己一起做示范。教师如果能找到与Get Ready中不一样但内容相近的图片,可以事先将其准备好,配上英文,让学生在活动中使用,这将会提高学生的识图、认词和理解词义的能力。
B. Chant and say.
1. 听力练习
(1) 学生听第一遍歌谣,但不看文本,仔细体会歌谣内容。
(2) 学生再听一遍歌谣,然后试着说一说听到些什么内容,并尝试用英语解释Get Ready中没有呈现出来的词语的含义。如果有困难,教师可进行讲解,如针对I slept really late.这一句,教师可画一个时钟,用24小时制表示时间,然后让学生说出时间,体会这句话的意思。
2. 学唱歌谣
(1) 学生看歌谣文本,听第三遍录音,并小声跟唱。
(2) 学生结对,说唱歌谣。
(3) 教师请愿意展示的学生起立或到讲台前,说唱歌谣。
3. 接龙游戏
学生以小组为单位,由第一人说开始句:I went to Guizhou last summer vacation. I visited Huangguoshu Water Fall.第二人重复 第一人的句子,接着再说一句,如:Iwent to Guizhou last summer vacation. I visited Huangguoshu Water Fall and took many photos.后面的组员继续接龙,直到加不出新的内容,或到全组成员顺利结束为止。
Tip: 教师根据接龙游戏的结束方式、来定时间。如果是到队尾结束,可以不限时间,如果是一直顺利进行,可以限定游戏的时间。游戏中还可请每组的组长给每位成员计时。
