Ⅱ.Pre-talking
1.Teach “kind”
T: Last weekend, I went to the zoo and got this zoo’s map. There’re five kinds of animals. 呈现”kinds”, 并教读。
(设计意图：以“动物园地图”为情景，教授新词)
2. Review the five words: birds, mammals, fish, insects, reptiles.
T: Look, I can’t see these names clearly. Can you tell me？
(设计意图：复习第一课时学习过的类别词，为后面运用功能句：
“What kind of animal are...? They’re...” 交流作好铺垫。同时，复习一些
常见动物的分类。)
3.Pair-work: Find their homes
T: Some animals can’t find their home.
(设计意图：复习动物单词，一方面为学生复习更多的动物单词，一方面为学生后面练习功能句作好铺垫。）
T: What kind of animals are whales? 呈现重点句型，并教读，强调kind of 的连读。教师示范回答：They are mammals.
T: Can you help the others? Work in pairs, and talk about it.
(设计意图：运用两人对话的形式，使学生更好的掌握功能句的意义，从而能够在语境中运用功能句交流。)
