2. 通过讨论和思考,使用整句输出表达自己。

3. 学生能够通过地图了解陌生环境。

情感目标:1. 培养学习兴趣,激发学生用英文解决生活难题的热情。

教学过程

Warming-up: Greeting and daily English.

Leading in:

--Teacher: Boys and girls, welcome to Toronto! Welcome to our bus tour! Please sit back and relax. My name is Jane. During your stay in Toronto, I will be your tour guide.

--Students take their seats in a “tour bus”.

(教学思路:第一步引入——接到学生安排“上巴士”,展开多伦多巴士之旅,创造教学情境,让学生进入参观者角色。)

Presentation:

Teacher shows pictures of Toronto, and introduces the places as a tour guide. Students take the “tour bus” and enjoy the “views”. Teacher introduces the different functions of different places. Students learn it as tourists.

(教学思路:第二步理解——老师作为巴士之旅“导游”,向“游客”介绍多伦多沿路风景,各个场所的历史人文,学生学习重点单词。)

Students “get off the tour bus” and sit in groups. Students open their books and listen to the CD of part A. Listen and Number. Teacher checks their answers. Then Teacher play the CD of part C, students listen and think. Students read part C again and read the map below, try to write the names of the buildings in the blanks in three minutes. Teacher checks the answers with them, ask questions about the map. Teacher leads students to learn the part C deeply.

(教学思路:第三步听读——学生完成A部分听力及排序,完成C部分听课文阅读,并完成地图填空,将巴士之旅学习的单词融入文章,提高阅读能力。学习关键词句。)

Practise:

Teacher divides students into two groups, students fill the blanks in part B. There’s another map on page 63. Students learn the key sentences and practise in pairs. Pay attention to across from, go straight, and crossroad.

Game Time: Win Tickets! Teacher divides students into four groups, and invites them to travel to Shanghai, Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Chengdu. Students read the material of different cities, try to draw the map of the cities in six minutes. If they can draw the maps, they will win free plane tickets! Students put their maps on the wall, teacher shows the real maps on board and check students’ maps. And they could talk about different cities according to the maps.

(教学思路:第四部练习——学生完成B部分对话并练习,掌握关键句型。游戏环节:赢机票!学生分组,通过阅读文字材料,画出相应的城市地图,完成后老师展示真实地图,对照观察学生完成情况,地图画对的同学能“赢得免费机票”!随后讨论并了解上海、香港、广州和成都的城市风景。)

Homework:

Finish Part D, draw a map of neighborhood and write about it.
