Step1. Warming up
1. Greeting each other.

2. Sing a song “Hello! Kitty.”
Purpose: Sing a song can arouse students’ interest in the English class.
Step2. While-task procedures
Introduce several cartoon figures and elicit new words : friend friends.
Sing a chant about Big bear and Bear two.
Role plays the chant.
Play a game.
Introduce myself and let the students introduce themselves.
Introduce fat boy Joe and elicit four friends in our book.
Let them read the text and role the text.
Purpose: Consolidate the new words and sentences we learned by chant, games and role play.
Step3. Post-task activities
Introduce my friends and let them introduce their friends.
Group competition.
Purpose: Try to know whether they master the new knowledge or not.
