Key points:

A. To make sure that students can grasp the words correctly.

B. To know the information of others’ preference by using the sentence patterns :What do you like? I like....

Difficult points:

To improve their abilities of acting out the dialogue, and express their preference by the sentence patterns: I like.../ I like this.... The students should know their difference.

Teaching methods

Task-based teaching method, Cooperative inquiry method, Playing Games teaching method.

Teaching procedure

Step1Warm up

The teacher will show some pictures of animals that the students have learned. Before our class, the students will enjoy an MV of My teddy bear.

Purpose:

The pictures are helpful for the students to review some words and sentences. The purpose of this is to form a better English learning surrounding for the students, to attract the students’ interest of learning English.

Step2Presentation

To show the picture of a teddy bear, the students will learn toy bear easily.With the help of some pictures that the students have learned, they can review the dialogue and the text.

--What’s the matter?

--I can’t find my ball.( The students recall the dialogue.)

The teacher will show one picture of a ball, and one picture of two balls. To make the students know the difference of the two words, ball and balls, to find out the different numbers of the same object, and let them know how to use the words, ball and balls , correctly.

The girl is in the park.

The kites are in the sky.

The girl flies her red kite.

It goes up very high.( The students read the text aloud together.)

They review and learn the words, kite and kites, robot and robots. The teacher will make the students touch the picture of robot and say the word aloud one by one.
