Step one: Pre-task preparation
Broadcast the song Happy birthday .
T: Do you know this song? When do we sing it?
Write down my birthday date on the blackboard.
T: This is my birthday.
Invite one student to write down his / her birthday date on the Bb.
T: This is my birthday. Oh, this is your birthday.
Invite more students to write down their birthday dates on the Bb.
T: This is my birthday. Oh, this is your birthday. It’s ……’s birthday.
Step two: While-task procedure:
Broadcast Listen and say. Let students guess whose birthday it is today.
Ss: It’s Alice’s birthday.
T:( Show the flashcard of card) Card. C-A-R-D, Card.
Ss: Card. C-A-R-D, Card.
Write down the new sentence on the Bb: Here’s a card for you.
Then give students some toys or familiar things .
T:( give a toy car to S1) Here’s a toy car for you.
S1: Thank you.
T: ( give a pencil to S2) Here’s a pencil for you.
