Enjoy a song together and then ask and answer between the teacher and students:
T: Boys and girls, can you tell me what you heard in the song?
Students: What are you doing? ……
T: Very good. What tense does the song use?
Students: The Present Continuous tense.(The teacher writes them down on the blackboard.)

Ask students what the main structure of the Present Continuous tense is: be + v-ing (板书);
Let students write down the present participles of the following verbs:

Ask students to make sentences by using the Present Continuous tense.
S1: She is swimming in the swimming pool.

S3: They are playing basketball on the playground.

Play a guessing game. Guess what people are doing in the following pictures.
For example:
-What is Jim doing?
-Is he ……in the classroom? Yes?/No?
-Yes./No. He is listening to music in the classroom.

Ask students to read the sentences together. Finish grammar and functions on page15.
Listen to the passage and complete the table. Finish 1 on page15. Check the answers together.
Listen to 2 and then number the pictures on page16.
Ask students to read the passage, circle the activities and underline the places. Finish 2.
Key point:
love doing sth “热爱做某事”,类似于like//enjoy.
eg: I love playing basketball with my friends.
Ask students to retell the passage according to the pictures.
