新课
播放Listen and enjoy 课件，学生跟唱读并做动作。（活跃课堂气氛，复习旧知，为新知识做铺垫）
分组比赛，游戏：魔力眼 教师在大屏幕上闪现现在分词词组：reading the map, reading a book, finding a diamond, looking down, taking a picture, playing chess, playing computer. 看谁说的又对又快。
复习现在分词，出示图片，同桌之间做对话，运用句型：What is he/she doing? He/She is .... 请同学展示对话。
请学生闭眼休息，播放对话Listen an say（锻炼学生听力）。第二次播放录音，请学生睁开眼睛并对照课文进行理解，并思考问题：Who is reading the map?
Where are they?
What are they looking for?
第三次教师领读课文，后请学生回答问题。
逐句翻译课文，并讲解知识点：hill 与mountain 区别
