能力目标:
1）通过阅读文章的教学，使学生进一步理解我国的文化。
2）通过分析文章结构和内容，使学生掌握用英语介绍中国节日的一般的步骤。
情感目标：我国有着悠久、辉煌的历史，了解本国的传统节日以及节日风俗和文化。对比西方的文化，可以增强爱国主义精神和民族自豪感。
三、?教学重点：掌握本课的词汇，并能运用句型介绍春节
教学难点：让学生学会用英语来描述中国的节日。
四、学情分析：五年级的学生，他们已经具备一定的听说读写基础与英语阅读能力，能够用英语表达简单的思想。更重要的是，节日是学生们很感兴趣的话题，他们喜欢过任何的节日。所以在设计本节课时，我力图从学生认知规律、心理特点与生活经验出发，激发学生学习的积极性，让兴趣成为学生最好的老师。
五、教学设计的理念
1．探索阅读课中任务型教学的模式
给学生设计各种各样的任务，要求学生用英语讨论交流，让学生在完成语言任务的同时学会英语的运用。
2．探索以生为本教学模式
构建以学生为本的教学模式，让学生以个体或集体角色进行有效的语言学习；把学生自主学习，合作学习和探究学习贯穿教学全过程中，为学生提供施展才华的平台。
六、教学过程：
