教学方法：
利用教学幻灯片、图片等来展开课堂Pair work问答式的口语交际活动，使用已有和本模块新单词进行提讨论及回答。 在这个环节利用幻灯片 ，出示各种动物的图片，看动物，读单词。
教学过程：
I Warm up
1. T: Do you like animals?
Talk about some wild animals.
2. T:According to my description,can you guess which animal is it? It has a long neck ,what is it ？(出示一些动物的图片，描述让学生猜是哪一种动物，激发学生学习本节课的热情）
S： It is a giraffe.
T: It is the king of the forest, it lives in the jungle. What is it ? S: It is a tiger. ……
IIListen and song.Then answer my question what animals can you hear in the song?在这个环节同学们听歌曲回答歌曲中听到的几种动物，同学们回答问题的过程中板书 ：eagle 、panda 、 whale 、 tiger 最后在回答What eals do you hear in this song？导入本课主题并板书Animals in danger. in the past、 in the wild.
III Presentation
1. T: Today let’s see what kinds of animals are in danger.
2. T: It is white and black, It likes eating bamboo. What is it ? S: It is a panda.
T: It lives in the ocean, it is blue. ------lead to Blue whale(蓝鲸).
T: It is the king of the forest, It is a tiger.------lead to South China tiger（华南虎）.
（通过幻灯片展示学习新的动物单词 华南虎 蓝鲸）
Pandas、South China tigers and Blue whales are in danger.
T :Now they are in danger ,but how many such animals are there in the wild? Before discussing this problem ,let’s learn tow woeds..
3.学习单词hundred，thousand，请同学们记住单词，并分享记忆方法。然后练习千和百位数字英文的表达方法。黑板上写出 hundred 百 thousand 千
用幻灯片显示熊猫过去和现在数量的对比，练习There were ....There are ...的句子，用in the past和in the wild 练习句子。并练习重点句型 , There was/were .......... But now there are only about ......
出示有关熊猫的Listen and say的幻灯片片，播放录音，学生边听边看图片然后一起读这段话。
4.用同样的方式，讲解和练习华南虎、蓝鲸这两个片段。
5. 同学们把书打到本课，结成小组，先默读文章，然后分小组完成填写表格的任务。
