六年级学生,应当已经具备一定的学习能力,所以执教教师认为学生们还是可以尝试接受新内容。

重点难点

本课的重难点并不是新的句型与词汇,而是对课文内容的感受,对于保持地球重要意义的认知。所以,人文精神的体现才是本课要凸显的重点。

Teach the new word --- earth、part with ppt and asks a few questions

T:I’m from Jiutai.It is a city nearby Changchun. I’m from Changchun. I’m from China. I’m from the Earth.通过谈话引出新单词,课件演示并板书,同时复习th字母组合的发音。

T:What can you see on the earth? There are different colours. Some parts are green. Some parts are brown. Some parts are blue.(课件演示part)

Teach the new word---- land、ocean、forest

T: What are the green \brown\blue parts?

Ss:They are forests\land\oceans.(课件演示并且跟读,拓展四大洋与亚马逊雨林的知识。)

4.Compare the Earth in 1978 with in 2012.

T: The Earth gives us land,oceans and forests. So we can see green and blue.But it was beautiful and clean in the past.What about now? What differences can you see?How about the colours?(课件展示,对比地球图片。)

5.Teach the new word--rubbish

T:What happened to the Earth? Look, what is it?Because of throwing rubbish into rivers\using plastic bags\cutting down so many trees, the Earth is not clean and beautiful. Now it is dirty.(课件演示,教学新词及句型)

6.Teach the new sentence---we should stop doing...

T:Do you feel happy or sad? What should we do? We should?say a word----Stop!(课件展示stop,同时板书句型 We should stop doing... Practice 1.Get the students to read the text by themselves.
