Pre-task preparations
1.用多媒体课件出示太阳系的八大行星Mercury (水星)，Venus (金星)，the Earth (地球)，Mars (火星)，Jupiter (木星)，Saturn (土星)，Uranus (天王星)，Neptune (海王星，引出本节课的话题。出示课题The Earth，让学生跟教师朗读单词Earth。
2.操练单词earth，同时复习学生熟知的月亮moon，太阳Sun，星星star。
While-task procedures
1.用多媒体课件出示地球的图片，并指出蓝色、绿色、褐色部分让学生找出对话中所提到的这些都是什么。
学生观看结束后，尝试找出对应的图片。

学生集体学习核心单词。

2.播放课文listen and say的录音并提出问题，让学生朗读课文，找出答案。
