Students can grasp the new words and some preposition.

Students should be able to know how to use the structure of

“there be” to describe their rooms and houses.

Students can talk about their own homes and different kinds of things in their homes.

Students should able to learn to get along well with their neighbors and their friends.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Warming up and lead in

Greet students as usual.

Lead in:

T: Jane has a new house.Do you want to go her home and have a look?

But she has four tasks for you .If you passed the following tasks, you can come to her home.Let’s go.

Step 2 Presentation

Task 1 Listen and guess/Look and guess

1.Listen to audio or show some pictures and then ask:

What is he/she doing?(What are they doing ?)

Where is he/she?(Where are they?)

2.Learn the new word or phrases:

Bathroom,study,kitchen,dining room,living room,bedroom,garden.

Task 2 Look,read and match (Section A 2a)

Learn the phrases:On the first /second floor 在第一/二层

Task 3 What’s on the first/second floor?(Section A 2b)

Look at 2b, learn the structure of “there be”.Work out the rules of it.

There is+a/an+可数名词单数+sp.

There is +不可数名词+sp.

There are +可数名词复数+sp.
