Step 2: Leading-in

Look at this map. Which country is it? The UK. Where is it? It’s London Bridge. So, how do you go to London Bridge? By plane. Now let’s review some transportation we’ve learned. What’s this? It’s a bike/car/jeep. Look at another map. Which country is it? China. Most of you are from Hunan. There are some beauties in Beijing or Shanghai. How do you go to these places of interest?

Step 3: Presentation

Now today we’ll learn some new transportation. Please open your book and turn to page 18. Let’s learn. Look at the picture1. What’s this? It’s a bus. What’s this in picture2? It’s a train. Now let’s play a game. “Find the picture!” Look at another picture. What’s this? It’s a ship. Let’s play another games. “Touch and say”! What’s this? It’s a taxi. Let’s play “Magic finger”! What’s this? It’s my home. Let’s play another “Touch and say”!

Now see the big screen. Look at the picture and say the words. And then fill in the missing letters and line. Where is it? Is it the Great Wall? Yes. How do you come to the Great Wall? I come to the Great Wall by taxi. Where is it? Is it Tiananmen Square? Yes. How do you come to Tiananmen Square? I come to Tiananmen Square by bus. Where is it? Is it the Oriental Pearl TV Tower? Yes. How do you come to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower? I come to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower by ship. Where is it? Is it London Bridge? Yes. So can you give a question? How do you come to London Bridge? I come to London Bridge by train.

Look at the picture. There are some flowers. Are they beautiful? are you familiar with them?/ Do you know them? They are day lily. Qidong is the hometown of day lily. Where are they? Are they Guanjiazui? Yes. So can I give a question? How do you come to Guanjiazui? What can we answer it? I come to Guanjiazui by car/jeep. Where is it? Is it the Heng Mountain? Yes. So can you give a question like Guanjiazui? How do you come to Heng Mountain? I come to Heng Mountain on foot/by car/jeep. Where is it? Is it the Orange Island? Yes. Where is it? Is it the Yuelu Mountain? Yes. They are in Changsha. So can you give a question? How do you come to Changsha? I come to Changsha by train/car/ship. There are a lot of beauties in nature. More walking, less by car. We should be close to nature and love nature.
