Warming up
1. Greet in everyday English and make sure the Ss can respond in correct way.

New lesson
Step 1. Presentation
The teacher imitates a sound of a cat/dog and ask the Ss :What do you hear? And then present the useful expressions: Excuse me, where is my cat/dog? Is it in your desk? Is it on the floor? Is it behind the door? Oh! Look, it’s there. It’s in the desk.
Teach the words and useful expressions: in/on , Excuse me. Where is …?It’s …
Step 2.Practice
I say and you do: Polly says “Put your … in/on your…”
Play a game: The teacher plays a magician and hides something, then ask and answer. Use the useful expressions: Excuse me .Where is the…?
Let the Ss play the magician and then practice.
Step 3.Drill
1..Look at the pictures on Page 47,and then answer some questions
Picture 1:
Who is he/she? What is this? Is this Su Nan’s eraser? Where is the eraser?
Picture 2:
Who is he/she? What is this? Where is the ruler? Is this Li Shan’s ruler? Whose ruler is this?
2. Listen to the tape and then read the passage fluently.
3. Try to act it out.
Step 4.Summary
Let a student hide and then ask the other Ss : Excuse me. Where is …?
Step 5. Homework
Read the passage fluently and try to learn them by heart.
