2. Free talk(介绍评价方式)
T: Children, this class we have two groups, boys and girls. We are going to have a match. Look here, there is a map of China. If you do well, I’ll give you a flag. The red flags are for girls. The blue flags are for boys. If you get the most cities, you will be the winner. Come on, baby!
(设计意图:按学生性别来分组,每组得一面旗就会占领地图上的一座城池,占领城池最多的一组为最终的获胜者。这样的设计既激发了学生的学习兴趣,又巧妙地与本节课内容相衔接,创设了真实的情境。)
Step 2 Presentation
1.Let’s say a happy English slogan.

T: Oh, very good! I think boys and girls are all wonderful. All get a flag.
(设计意图:在新授之前让学生跟着老师喊口号,全身都动了起来,以饱满的热情投入到英语课堂的学习之中。)
2. Show the new words and new sentence pattern.
T: How are you feeling now? Ss: I’m very happy.
T: Yeah, the mood is as bright as a sunny day.
What’s the weather like today? (板书课题)
(1)学习单词weather, 由以前学过的单词发音迁移到新单词的发音。
T: At first, let’s read some words we’ve learned before. 出示单词father, mother, brother和 sweater,请学生读一读。
根据“ther”和“ea”的发音,让学生自己试读weather的发音,听磁带正音。
(设计意图:以谈话的方式自然引入课题,由以前学过的单词发音迁移到新单词的发音,让学生在无形中记住了一些字母组合的发音规则,从而培养了学生拼读单词的能力。)
(2)学习句子What’s the weather like today?
T: Today we’ll learn “Unit 5 What’s the weather like today? ” What does it mean?
