i warming -up
教师出示各个职业人的照片，引导学生复习职业名词：teacher, actor , doctor, worker...然后以自由谈论的的方式导入课堂。

在此过程中尽量多提问问题，让学生尽可能多的使用自己已经学过的知识回答，为本节课即将要出现的语言知识做铺垫。
以谈话的方式正式导入新课：Boys and girls. Everyone has an idol. I have an idol ,too. I will introduce my idol to all of you in this class. Do you want to know?
Step 2 Presentation
i 以展示小刘伟的图片直观的向同学们展示自己的偶像，让学生初步对我的偶像进行了解。
ii Read an answer
(1) What did little Liu Wei want to be ?
(2) What happened to him?
(3) When did he lost his arms?
(4) What did he do when he lost his arms ?
(5)What did he do in 2006?（在此问题中问题比较直观学生们阅读文章之后就可以了解到刘伟的成长经历，随后让学生观看一段刘伟在中国达人秀中表演节目的视频，让学生们体会到了刘伟的坚强和执着）
(6)How long did he play the piano in a day?
(7)What do you think of Liu Wei?（先通过讨论让学生从个人角度对刘伟进行探讨，从而发现他的自强不息，伟大与刻苦）

iii 补充资料，升华主题。
为学生补充一些像刘伟一样身残志不残的代表人物（玛丽，翟小圩，霍金......），能够帮助学生树立积极，乐观的人生态度，从而也使文章的内容得到了升华。
