Know the useful sentences.
Step1. Remember
1. Show a video My Home.
Ask some students to retell something about the house.
2. Let the students reciter the there be sentence table together.
3. Fill in the blanks with be according to the table.
Purpose: Help students master the use of sentence pattern by retelling, reciting the table and doing some exercises.
Step2. Prepositions
Show some pictures about the prepositions.
Students watch the directions in the pictures and fill in the correct prepositions.
Purpose: Help students think about the prepositions by showing the pictures.
Step3. Guessing Game
1. Game 1. Show a box. And the students guess the things in it.
Help them use the sentence pattern Is / Are there…?
2. Game 2. Show some pictures by covering a part of the picture, and then let the students guess what’s it by using the sentence pattern Is / Are there…? and How many / much…?
Purpose: Cultivate students’ interests in the knowledge learning.
Step4. Setting other situations
1. Welcome to our school. Show some pictures of school.
Let students write down the sentences according to the situations what they see by using the sentence patterns they have learned. Complete the sentences.
2. Show some pictures to lead in the sentence pattern there be +sb+ving+ prepositions.
3. Welcome to Miss Wu’s house. Show some pictures of Miss Wu’s house.
Let students write down the sentences according to the situations what they see by using the new sentence patterns.
Report them in the class.
