Teaching procedure:
I. Warm-up: Play a game about words and phrases in Unit 3
(Ss can practise speak English words out, and these words includes words that are in listening part and will be used in these classes.)
II. Lead-in:
Look at the pictures and know some kinds of dogs.
Have a brainstorm about the topic “ how do dogs help people in daily life?”
(Some students can’t speak much about dogs, and I will present some pictures about different kinds of dogs and arouse students’ interest in speaking dogs’ roles in human being’s life.)
III. Pre-listening:
Learn information about three top dogs: Billy,Suzy and Winnie
Look at the pictures and make a dialogue.
A:What kind of dog is Billy/ Suzy/ Winnie?
B: It's a guide dog/ a pet dog/ a star dog.
A: Where is Billy/Suzy/Winnie?
B: It is at the airport/ at home/ on TV station.
IV. While-listening:
Task A: Listen to the radio programme and fill in the blanks with the names of the speakers .
Task B: Listen to the radio programme and write one word in each blank.
