Step1. Warm-up
Say ‘Hello’ to the pupils. ( T: Stand up, boys and girls. Hello! Boys and girls. P: Hello! Miss Li. T: How are you? P: I’m fine. Thank you. And how are you? T: I’m fine ,too. Thank you! Sit down! )
Sing a song ‘Ten Little Fingers’.
Step2. Review
A. Revise the words about numbers: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven and twelve by using fingers and word cards.
B. Revise the sentences: Happy birthday! Thank you! I’m nine.
Step3. Presentation
Lead in. ( Sam: I’m nine. Now what will Panpan and Mimi say? Let’s have a look. )
B. Look at CAI and present the words: you are = you’re yes
Teach the sentences: I’m three. I’m ten.
You are three. You are ten.
C. Ask pupils to read the sentences on the card.
eg. I’m Panpan. I’m three.
I’m Mimi. I’m ten.
Step4. Text learning
Look and listen (CAI). And teach the words: how old
And teach the sentences:
How old are you? I’m nine. I’m nine too.
B. Listen again and repeat. Then read the text together.
C. Listen again and dub for the text.
