Step1. Warming-up

学生合唱"London bridge is falling down" 活跃课堂气氛,并加上之前教的动作,使学生快速融入课堂教学中。

Step 2. Lead in

学生观看课文P29页part1,并根据图片引导进行空白处填空:

It ___is_____very beautiful. But it ___wasn't_____beautiful then.

从而过渡到复数形式weren't的用法:

They___are_____very beautiful. But they ___weren't_____beautiful then.

学生学习了wasn't和wrern't的用法后,引入新课文: They were young,之后做be动词的现在时和过去式的连线搭配(match)。

Step 3. Presentation

1. 学生观看课文29页part2 的第一幅图视频并带着2个问题观看:

(1)How are they now?

(2) How about then?

视频播放结束后抽取多数学生回答自己的见解,最后展现答案,全班齐读答案:

They are old now

They were young then.

They __weren't__old then.

2. 学生观看课文part2 的第二幅图视频并带着2个问题观看:

(1)How is she ?

(2) How about then?

视频播放结束后抽取多数学生回答自己的见解,最后展现答案,全班齐读答案:

She is tall now.

She was short.
