Step1.Warmer and revision

1.Greet pupils warmly.

2. Introduce: I like traveling. Teach new word: travel

Tell pupils: If you do a good job in class, you'll get one ticket.

Introduce teacher's last holiday. Encourage pupils to say: Welcome to China! Welcome to Beijing!

3.Get pupils to talk about their holiday in groups.

Ask some pupils to share their holiday. Ask: Did he/she go by...?

Elicit pupils to answer by using: Yes, he/she did. No, he/she didn't.

Teach pupils to read correctly.

【设计意图】通过问候交流将学生迅速调整到学习英语的状态,通过教师介绍自己的旅行,然后学生小组谈论自己的旅行,既快速复习了旧知又引出新知:Yes, he/she did. No, he/she didn't.同时车票来奖励那些课堂上表现好的孩子,必将大大的提高孩子课堂的参与积极性。

Step2.Lead-in

Get pupils to have a chant. First just listen ,then clap hands and chant together。

【设计意图】Chant有效的活跃了课堂气氛,复习巩固同时又为下一步新课学习做好准备。

Step3.Presentation

Show the picture of Sam and Daming and ask :What's in Daming's hand?

Teach new word:postcard

Ask : Who sent this postcard?

Ask pupils to Enjoy the flash and try to find the answers.

Show three famous cities in the US and get pupils to guess: Where does Dalong live ?
