Step 1 Revision
Read the words before class.
Step 2 Lead--in
Teacher show a piece of video about our hometown ,make the students love our hometown. And know because of the trees our hometown is so beautiful.
Step 3 Pre--reading
Give students some pictures(parts of the trees) and ask some students to stick them together. They will know the parts of trees.
Step 4 While-reading
Stage1.Divide the article into three parts .Ask the students read the first part(1---9) answer the question “Why trees are the major fighter against air pollution? ”
Stage2.Ask the students read the second part (10—23)decide the sentence true or false and correct the mistakes.
Stage3.See a cartoon about bald Qiang and know our behavior are bad We should stop cutting down the trees. Read the third part (23—26) together.
Step 5 While-writing
Read the article again (follow the record) and do exercise on page 46.
Step 6 After--reading
Read the article again in group then close books and retell the story according to the pictures and words on the blackboard.
Step 7 After-writing
Discuss how to protect the trees by making promises Use the sentences: I
promise to do...I promise not to do...
Step 8 homework
Students do the exercise on page 47.
Read the words.
Attract students' attention
Students stick pictures on the blackboard.
Answer the question by a student.
Correct mistakes one by one.
Read together.
