Teaching methods: Communicative approach and Task-based language teaching.

Teaching procedures:
There’re mainly five steps in this lesson. They are warming-up, presentation, practice, consolidation and homework .
Step1: Warming up.(5mins.)
1. Let’s chant and do!
Clap, clap, clap your hand.
Stomp, stomp, stomp your feet.
Run, run, run fast.
Jump, jump, jump high!
2. Greetings.
(The warming up aims to bring the students into an atmosphere of the English language , and arouse their interest in English learning.)
Step2: Presentation. (18mins.)
1. Preparation.
Divide the class into two teams: clever team and smart team. And introduce the rules of the competition.
(The competition makes the kids more active in class and arouse their interest in finishing the tasks.)
2 .Lead- in.
T: Do you like doing sports? I like doing sports very much. I like to swim. I like to run. I even like to play basket ball. Because I think doing sports can help us keep healthy and strong. So what sport can you do?
(This activity can quickly bring the students into the real communication situation, and practice their oral English.)
3. Teach the new words and phrases.
By talking to the class, review the two phases: run fast and jump high.
By inviting two students to play ping pong, teach the target languages: He can play ping pong well. He is good at ping pong. And teach the new word: well. During this procedure, help the students to assess others correctly.
By showing the real actions and watching the pictures of the screen, teach the new phases: pass the ball well, catch the ball well, goalkeeper, and football team. During this procedure, help the students to assess others further.
Meanwhile, get the students to try to write down the new words on the paper correctly.

4. Listen and answer the two questions on the screen.
