1. Warm-up:Have a greeting.
Lead-in:
Have a free talk: Talking about teacher’s travel.
Review the words: north, south, west, east.
Show a map of china. Ask some questions:
A:Where is Beijing/Yunnan/Tibet/Shanghai?
B:It’s in the north /···of China.
Teacher talks about her travel to Xi’an.“I went to Xi’an last year. I went there with my family by train. We stayed there for a week. I watched the football game and ate lots of delicious food. I had a lovely time there.”(设计意图:通过运用一般过去时描述老师去年的一段旅行经历,引出课文中的重点句型,而不是拘泥于复习课本具体内容。)
3.Presentation:
(1)Talk about students’ travels. Show a mind map and ask some questions to review the key sentences.
(2) Then shown some pictures to practise the key sentences.
Play a game: 句子接龙

(3)At last make conversations by pair -work.
A:Where did you go last year?
