Step2: Presentation(17 minutes)
1. Show the picture of Ms Smart.
T: Ms Smart loves reading very much. So her friend sent a box to her. (Teach the word “sent”)
2. Listen and answer “What are they doing?” Then check the answer in the text.
【设计意图】让学生带着问题整体感知课文,领略文本内容大意,为细读做准备。在文本中找出主题句,渗透在文本中收集信息的阅读技巧。
3. T: Does Lingling like to make a home library? (Teach the word “idea” and the sentence “That’s a good idea.”)
【设计意图】通过创设贴近学生生活的例子,让学生在有意义的环境中操练单词和句式,避免简单机械操练。
4. Free talk: How to make a home library. Then listen to the 2nd and 3rd part to find the answer.
【设计意图】听读结合,细读文本,引导学生抓住关键信息,揭示文本结构的内在联系,挖掘文本细节信息。
(1)T: First we need a shelf. (Teach the word “shelf” and “put”)
(2)T: Second we need a lot of books.
