　StepⅠ: Warm up

1) Greetings：T:Good morning,boys and girls.today,I’m your English teacher.I’m very happy to stand here.Are you happy?Let’s sing a song.

2) Free talk: T:We are very happy,but our friends aren’t happy.Who are they？

出示课件。熊大和熊二今天在光头强家看到了一张非常漂亮的图片，特别想去这个地方Do you know this place?出示课件。

Can you tell me more about it?ok.let’s learn Unit1 the Great Wall.

　Step Ⅱ: Presentation

　　1) 出示课件: T: What’s this? s:It’s the Great Wall.T:Oh,Yes,very good.you can say :It’s a postcard.师领读单词并板书。采用同桌互读，注意发音。 It’s a picture of the Great Wall.You can see:a picture of…(板书)　　

2）T：Open your books and turn to Page2.Listen to the tape and circle some words that you don’t understand .教授单词时，请学生模仿跟读，全班齐读，大小声读，并进行单词比赛等，达到会读的目标。　

3)（课件出示)Listen to the tape again, , ask students to listen carefully then try to answer the questions: Where are Daming and Simon? What are they doing? Are these postcards great ? How long is the Great Wall?

　　How big is New York? How big is Beijing? （给学生足够的时间思考，鼓励学生尽量不看书根据听到的内容来回答，但如果有困难需要可以先阅读看着课文再回答问题，为程度较弱的孩子降低难度。）

　　4) (课件出示) Play CD-ROM again ，Then let students describe text use

　　Answer: Daming and Simon are in New York. They are looking at the postcards. These postcards are great. The Great Wall’s more than twenty thousand kilometers. New York’s got eight million people. Beijing has got twenty million people. (引导学生抓关键的信息点概括全文)[

5) Students learn: ‘s=is ‘s got=has got with teacher’s help.

Step Ⅲ: Practice　　

1) Role-play the text.Who wants to be Daming?Who wants to be Simon?

2)出示课件:描述某个地方 Act it out. Do replacements exercise. (the Changjiang River, Sichuan, Fujian)

Step Ⅴ: Consolidation

Talking about Beijing. ( 由天安门广场问“Where is Tian’an Men Square?”引出Beijing，课件出示Beijing 及The Great Wall 、Summer Palace、 Bird’s Nest继而引导学生用Beijing has got…句型描述北京)
