Greet with students.
Step2: Lead in. ( 2 minutes)
T: Boys and girls, I’m your English teacher. And I want to be your friend. Can you be my friend?
T: Well , let me introduce myself to you.
Step3: Presentation. ( 3minutes)
Learn new words and sentences.
Show some pictures about teacher’s hobbies with using PPT.
Lead the students to guess the teacher’s hobbies. Lead them to say :What’s your hobby?---V.-ing is my hobby. Then write down the sentences on the board, and practise.
Show more phrases about hobbies ,let the whole class read together.
Practise the sentences.
Teacher and students ask and answer. T: What’s your hobby? Ss: V.-ing is my hobby.
Show the dialogue modle on the screen: A: What’s your hobby? B: V.-ing is my hobby. Let the students ask and answer with their deskmates. Then let some mates to act out in front of the class.
Play a game.
Step4. Learn the text.( 15 minutes)
T: Well, there are 4 children talking about their hobbies. Do you want to know?
Show questions on the screen:
What’s Sue’s hobby?
What’s Jack’s hobby?
What’s Taotao’s hobby?
What’s Xiaoxue’s hobby?
Let the whole class read the questions together.
Let the students watch the flash, then ask some students to answer the questions.
Play the flash again, let the students repeat, then act out.
Step 5. Chant. ( 3 minutes)
Watch the video and sing.
Step6. Summary. ( 4 minutes)
Revise the language points on the blackboard with the students. And tell the students: “Hobby is the first step to gain the knowledge.” “Enjoy the happiness your hobby gives to you.”
