教学过程:
Step 1 lead-in
Lead in by talking about the weather with students. Then ask students “look outside, what can you see?” get the answer “trees”.
Show a tree’s picture, let students do a short quiz to know the names of the parts of the tree. And ask students to think about a question “What do trees do for us?”
Step 2 Pre-reading
Reading to get the main idea by skimming scanning and task-reading.
Look at the photos and the title of the article to answer the questions.
What do you think the interview is about?
What can we make from trees? (3examples)
Step 3 Reading ( careful reading and task reading)
The aim of this activity is to let students get more information from the interview. There are two tasks.
Task 1
1. Ask students to read the first part of the article carefully, then finish the question “How do trees help us? ”. Finally, check their answers.
