教学过程:

Step1: Greeting

Step2: Lead-in

T: Boys and girls, I’m very glad to see you everyday. I like you and I like our school. Do you like our school?

Ss: Yes, we do.

T: OK. Let’s look! ( Teacher shows pictures.) This is our primary school, right? And this is Nanning No.2 middle school. ( teach “middle”)

T: You ‘re going to middle school, are you excited? ( teach “excited”)

When are you going to middle school? ( teach “September”)

Our friend Lingling is going to middle school this September. Now she is making a speech to her classmate. ( teach “speech” and “classmate”) Is she excited? Let’s listen!

Step3: Text learning

Listen and answer:

Is Lingling excited? Why?

Why is Lingling sad?

Listen and repeat the sentences.

Underline the sentences with “be going to”, then read them out.

The whole class read the text together.

Learn the future tense “be going to”.

Step4: practice

Ss Watch the pictures and fill in the blanks.

Ss Read a passage about Lingling’s summer holiday plan and choose the right answers.
