Step 2. Presentation:
1. Listen to the song and look at the pictures.
Then answer: What can you see? (butterfly)
Teacher shows some little butterflies, encourage Ss try to say.
Then guide Ss to learn the new words: butterfly, lovely, the lovely butterfly.
2. Listen to the song again, then answer: What else can you hear? (red, blue, ....)
3. Learn the words: red, pink, blue, yellow, green, brown.
red: /e/→/re/→/red/
pink: in/in/, p/p/→/pin/, k/k/→/pink/
blue: ue/u:/ →blue/blu:/
yellow: ow/??/, l/l/→low/l??/, yes→ye→yellow
green: three→ree→green
brown: listen to the pronounce then stick the correct letters on the board.
And learn the sentences: Look at the (butterfly). It’s (red). It’s (pink) and (blue). It’s ... and ..., too.
Step 3. Consolidate:
1. Practice: T points the colours, and guides Ss try to say: yellow and blue, pink and blue, brown and red, ....
2. Listen to the song the third time then learn the words: little, the little (butterfly)
2. Listen to the song the fourth time then fill in the blanks.
3. Encourage Ss try to sing the song follow the cassettes.
Step 4. Production:
1. Teacher shows the other little butterflies. (change the other colour words) Encourage Ss try to say.
2. Ask Ss to sing the song with the other colours with the music.
3. Ss’ Show Time.( Encourage Ss to sing a song in class)
