Teaching process:
Step I. Warming up
1. A guessing game.
2. Learn to say the sentence: It looks ….
Step II. Presentation & Drills
1. 1) Listen to the story, and answer the questions: What’s the story about? How many people are there?
2) Listen to it again, and think: Do they like the sofa?
2. 1) Listen to Part 1 of the story and answer: Do they like the sofa? How much is the lamp? How much is the sofa?
2) Read Part 1 in groups.
3) Let the pupils guess and talk: Why the boss says ‘Sorry, I can’t give it to you.’ to them?
3. 1) The teacher says: They take the sofa home. Do they like the sofa at first? Then show the Picture 5. (Find the sentence: It looks good. Yes, great!)
2) Look at the pictures from 6 to 11. And complete the sentences.
3) Read Part 1 and Part 2 with expression.
4. 1) Read the sentences in Part 3 after the recording.
2) Match the sentences.
3) Read and order the sentences about Part 3.
Step III. Production
1. Act the story out.
2. Let the pupils talk: Does the boss know the sofa can ‘eat’ things?
