Presentation

Learn the cover

The name is The doorbell rang. By Pat Hutchins.

T: Look at the cover. What can you see?

S: There are many children…

T: Do you have some questions?

S: Why are they unhappy?

Can you guess what happened? (S1-S2: Maybe …)

Let’s read and find the answer.

Learn P1-4, understand We are starving. That’s 6 each. They look/smell as good as Grandma’s. No one makes cookies like Grandma.

Listen and repeat. Then practice and act in group of 3.

Learn P5-12, how many cookies can Sam get now?

That’s two each. When they are going to eat, the doorbell rang again.

Only show pictures, students try to act P13-16 in groups.

Learn the ending of the story.

How are they feeling now? What will they do?

Sharing makes them happy.
