Teaching procedures:
1.Warm up
Greeting.
Sing asong. Teacher plays the song"What do you like?", have the students follow the tape,sing together.
(设计意图:通过跟唱英文歌,引起学生兴趣,建立学生对新知识的初步感知,为下一步学习做铺垫。)
2.Presentation
Teacher says“Look at the picture, Ann's family want to go somewhere.Now, listen and answer 'Where do they go? Why do they go there?' ” Help Ss answer and teach the new words“restaurant、hungry”.
Show the second picture,ask“What are they reading?” Teach the new word“menu”.Then teach more new words by reading the menu.
3.Listen and read
Listen to the tape twice and choose the right answers:①Where are Ann's family? ②What will they do?③What food does Ken like?④What food does Ann like?⑤Do you know what Mocky likes?
Then listen again and check their answers. After that, have Ss read aloud.

4.Play games.
①Passing on. The teacher gives one of us a big flower. The teacher plays themusic and says, "Begin!" As the music starts to play, the students are passing the flowers one by one very quickly. When the music stops,the student who has the flower in hand will tell us "What do you like?".
②Rock-scissors-paper. The student who lost will answer the question.
(设计意图:通过这两个学生们喜爱并熟悉的游戏,让每个学生都参与进来,操练目标句型,学生的学习热情得到空前高涨,课堂学习氛围很好。)
5.Learn to say
Work inpairs. Let the students talk with their patterns about the food they like.Make a chaindrill by using “What do you like? I like … . What about you?” Then chant their sentences.
(设计意图:通过引导学生联系自身,运用本课新知句型进行表达,再次巩固目标语言及其意义。)
6.Role Play
Work in pairs, have Ss imagine they want invite someone to go to the restaurant or they're already at the restaurant, practise the dialogue or make their own dialogues.Give some help if necessary.Then choose several groups to show for us.
(设计意图:以小组活动来模拟课文情景,使学生进一步明确所学语言的表意功能及运用的合理性。)
7.Homework
Make a survey about your friends' favorite food、colors or sports by using the sentences:What do you like? I like … .
(设计意图:拓展本节课所学句型的更多实用性,让学生的学习更有成就感。)
