三、教学目标：
在本课结束时，学生能够：
1、读懂故事主要内容，利用插图理清故事主要情节；
2、模仿人物对话正确朗读故事；
3、借助图片指认和说出国家的名称并用“Where are you from? I’m from….”询问和介绍。
四、教学重点和难点
重点：在插图的帮助下理解并正确朗读故事。
难点：介绍国籍时，需要加be动词。
五、教学过程：
Step 1 Warm up and lead in（8’）
（1）Sing the song “Little Indians”.
（设计意图：让学生在歌曲中复习巩固数字类单词，初步接触个别国家名称，为下一阶段的进行埋下伏笔。）
(2)T: In the song, we know Indians are from India. But I’m from China. (板书)展示中国国旗。
T：Where are you from? (板书)教师询问，学生模拟回答。
（设计意图：通过游戏，激活背景知识，为新知学习做铺垫。通过预教生词和快速操练，引导学生建立国家与国旗之间的联系。）
（3）T: Besides China, there are many other countries such as Australia, Canada, India, US and UK.（板书并带读单词）
（设计意图：自然带入对于本文Learn to say 环节单词的处理，降低课文难度的同时，自由处理的本课时环节的顺序，使得课堂更加高效。）
Step 2 Listen and Read (13’)
（1）第一遍录音
T: There are so many countries in the world. Today we have some new friends and they are from different countries. Do you want to know who they are. Let’s listen to the story and find out.展示本文的主人公Elly, Kango and Pandy.
(2 )第二遍自由阅读
T: Elly, Kango and Pandy are from different countries. Let’s read the story and find out呈现国旗图片（图片上带有India, Australia, China）让学生自由阅读寻找答案并匹配主人公和国家。
(3 ) 第三遍录音
T: Now we know their names and countries. But we don’t know their ages. How old are they? Let’s listen again and look for the answers.
